No 1: 2011 SAE China Forum and Dinner Reception by CAGD and DCEA (4/11/2011 Monday)
The Chinese Association of Greater Detroit (CAGD) and the Detroit Chinese Engineer Association (DCEA) will jointly host 2011 China forum and dinner reception for the SAE China delegation at Fuji Japanese Buffet Restaurant on Monday, April 11, 2010.  The reception will highlight a face-to-face dialogue for the auto professionals from both sides of the Pacific.  This is an annual event for Chinese auto professionals in Detroit area.  This year, the SAE China delegation is headed by Ms. Ning Zhang (Vice Secretary General), and formed by other SAE officers and executives from Chinese auto OEMs and auto supplier companies.  During the reception, a senior officer from the Chinese delegation will deliver a keynote message on general policies, current status, challenges and future trends of the Chinese auto industry. In addition, Dr. Jie Du, Director of Scientific Programming & Modeling from J. D. Power and Associates, will present to us the automotive business trend and quality assessment. Please take advantage of this opportunity to contact directly with the experts and authorities of auto industry from both sides of the Pacific and explore your future developments. Detroit Chinese Business Association will host its annual "China Forum" on April 12, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn. "China Auto Industry: Balance between Quantity and Quality" is the key issue that most policy makers and business leaders focusing on. The following experts from US and China will discuss and explore solutions, as well as help enterprises to explore opportunities in China and the United States.
Ms. Ning Zhang, Deputy Secretary General of SAE China and VP of China Research Institute of Automotive Industry, will give an update on the latest about China Automobile Industry.
Mr. Jim Gillette, Auto Industry Analyst of IHS, will talk about Supplier Implications for Demand Growth 2011 and Beyond. What are the challenges and the reward when investing in Michigan?

底特律中华商会将于2011年4月12日在凯悦酒店举办年度的“中国论坛”。这次论坛将以“中国汽车工业前景:量与质的平衡发展”为主题,围绕一些政策决策者和企业领导人更加关注的问题,进行探讨解答,并帮助企业在中美双方寻求机会。
众所周知中国经济的飞速发展使各城市不断地扩大,人们用车的刚性需求因此而急速上升,即使油价猛涨、道路日益拥堵、停车位难找也无法阻止中国汽车工业2010年产销达1806万辆。业内人士认为中国的汽车销量还有继续扩大规模的空间,但与此同时面临基础设置滞后和井喷发展的中国汽车工业,如何维持持续性发展目标将是一个极大的挑战。今后中国汽车产业采用什么样的发展模式,如何能用更加科学、合理的形态推动汽车产业从而避免或缩短瓶颈发展?我们将邀请中美专家、法律制定人和业界专家就这一主题在论坛上发表演讲,分享他们的观点和见解,届时众多中国代表团也将应邀参加此次盛会。
