CSAUS Mission
In addition to promoting Chinese language and culture, CSAUS works to connect its members with the broader community and foster a sense of pride in their heritage. Through a variety of cultural events and workshops, CSAUS helps students and teachers enhance their linguistic development and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.
CSAUS also works to promote the importance of the Chinese-American experience in American society. Through partnerships and fund raising activities, the organization encourages Chinese Americans to participate in civic and political affairs while preserving their Chinese heritage and culture.
CSAUS also provides support to its members through mentorship programs and networking opportunities. It advocates for the rights and needs of Chinese Americans in local government organizations, ensuring that they are adequately represented in decision-making processes. It facilitates communication between parents and schools to ensure that academic education remains a top priority. It also collaborates with other educational, professional and business organizations to advance K-16 Chinese language education.

The CSAUS envisions Chinese communities across the United States uniting worldwide through cultural heritage, international cooperation and collaboration. The organization will strengthen connections with global Chinese associations, providing resources and platforms to support community and business success.
Facilitate networking and personal/professional development for Corning Chinese employees and those interested in the Chinese culture. Provide leadership for high quality and sustainable Chinese language programs in the United States by supporting educators in establishing articulated curricula, pedagogy and materials that reflect students’ needs and career goals.
Educate and nurture youth by creating and hosting educational workshops that promote and preserve traditional values, cultures and arts. Cultivate a sense of pride and unity among youth by building relationships with the larger community through the beauty of Chinese heritage.
CSAUS Activities
As the largest grass-root organization for Chinese Americans, CSAUS strives to unite the community and spread Chinese culture. Sponsored lectures, annual Chinese holidays and general body assemblies offer opportunities to experience the rich cultural heritage. CSAUS cultivates civic awareness and promotes coalition politics, while defending against anti-Asian racism.
The Association also aims to enhance the image of Chinese schools and broaden their scope in the field of Chinese language and cultural learning, while promoting friendship between the peoples of the USA and China. CSAUS has established and maintains ties with associations, political organizations and research institutes in dozens of countries and regions.
Besides promoting the development of local communities, the Association also helps at-risk Chinese American and immigrant families gain access to social services. Moreover, the Association fosters educational exchanges between Chinese scholars and students from both sides of the Pacific and promotes economic and trade cooperation between the United States and China. It has promoted operational coordination and exchange between Chinese language organizations in the United States and China, while advancing the merging process of Chinese community into mainstream society.
CSAUS Members
Since it was established in 1994, CSAUS has promoted the operational coordination and exchange of its member schools. It has also maintained close contact with major Chinese language educational organizations in China and developed strong cooperative relationships with similar groups in the U.S. This has accelerated the merging of Chinese culture into mainstream American society.
In addition, CSAUS has made a tremendous contribution in disseminating Chinese cultural information to people of all nationalities. It has also organized projects in promoting children’s friendship with China through a series of large-scale cultural and education activities like Chinese arts and cultural performance tours. The organization has a high reputation and is well received by related institutions both in the United States and China. It has a membership of over 100 schools. It hosts a member conference every other year to keep the dialogue going and maintain active representation. It has garnered tremendous support from Chinese officials from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Ministry of Education, as well as from Congressmen and Congresswomen.
