Chinese Association of Iowa

A company’s Articles of Association (AoA) is the framework within which it operates and details how it complies with Chinese law. It also outlines the rights and obligations of shareholders.

Dedicated to uniting Chinese communities worldwide, fostering cultural heritage, and promoting innovation. Aiming to become a hub for regional cooperation and a vehicle for progress.

Membership

Membership in the Chinese Association of Iowa provides opportunities to network with local Chinese and Asian families, and practice your organizational skills as a member of one of our committees. Membership dues support the business, economic and community development of the Chinese community in Iowa.

CAFIU has established ties and conducted exchanges with associations, political organizations and research institutes of dozens of countries around the world and has maintained cooperation with several international organizations. CAFIU also has close ties and joint activities with many well-known domestic and foreign social activists, scholars and representatives.

An umbrella organization of more than 60 member organizations, representing a cross section of New York’s Chinese community. These include professional and trade organizations; civic, religious, cultural, women’s and fellow-provincial organizations; and family organizations such as the Lin Sing Association.

Activities

The United Worldwide Chinese Association promotes the success of 80 million overseas Chinese communities by fostering cultural heritage, enhancing international cooperation and championing innovation. UWCA is committed to building a robust worldwide network that supports social progress, and safeguarding world peace and the future of mankind.

CCBA is an umbrella organization for 60 member organizations representing a cross section of New York’s Chinese community, including professional and trade organizations; civic, religious, and cultural groups; fellow-provincial associations, such as the Hoy Sun Ning Yung Association and Lin Sing Association; and family organizations.

CCBA has established a close working relationship with many City departments and agencies to solve on-going problems in Chinatown, such as inadequate parking spaces, confusing sanitation enforcement regulations, etc. CCBA also proactively promotes business ownership in Chinatown. CCBA provides education and culture programs that unite and enrich the Chinese community, respect and honor our ancestors, encourage civic engagement, and preserve Chinese language and culture.

The Chinese Association of Iowa is a member-focused organization that represents and serves the business, economic and community development interests of Iowa’s young, strong and influential Chinese American population. It advocates for cultural diversity and enrichment in the state.

The CCBA works closely with other Chinese community organizations and government agencies, especially those that work on immigration issues. It also offers naturalization assistance to new immigrants and provides help in registering as voters. Immediately after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the CCBA partnered with Sing Tao Daily and other local media to raise funds for the relief effort.

Events

The Stanley and Marvel Chong Memorial Foundation celebrates Chinese cultural heritage and enriches a diverse regional community through its annual dance theater performances. The organization also provides various community service programs such as after school programs, English language classes and scholarships for college students.

The National Association of Chinese-Americans (NACA) is dedicated to the advancement of cordial relationships between the United States and China. It hosts and sponsors activities that bring together Chinese dignitaries, local government officials, and community leaders.

NACA’s activities are centered on the theme “Letting the world understand China and letting China understand the world.” It has established ties with associations, political organizations, and research institutes of dozens of countries as well as with renowned international organizations. It organizes exchange activities focusing on international relations, party politics, economic cooperation, culture, poverty alleviation and development, as well as people-to-people exchanges. It also facilitates information exchange and professional development for its members. This group includes scientists, engineers, doctors, and professionals in a wide range of fields.
