CSAUS is a non-profit organization

CSAUS is committed to strengthening America’s communities by advocating for policies that promote AAPI equity and opportunity. The organization’s Articles of Association, akin to company constitutions, set out mandatory legal stipulations while leaving room for discretion in areas such as shareholders’ voting principles and finance policies.

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) is one of the oldest community organizations in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Founded in 1883, it was modeled on clan affiliations in China and has performed a quasi-governmental role throughout its history. Business ownership has been a major goal for many residents of Chinatown, and the CCBA has helped them achieve this by providing financial support and training.

Its main activities include international relations, party politics, economic cooperation, poverty alleviation and cultural exchanges.
