CCBA
Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) is an umbrella organization for the Chinese community in New England. CCBA aims to promote Chinese culture, enhance the general welfare of the Chinese community, and further the cause of freedom and democracy.
Originally located at 14 Oxford Street, CCBA relocated to 90 Tyler Street in the 1980s. The building, painted in Chinese lucky colors, features pagoda rooftops and stone lions. It also serves as the CCBA’s world headquarters. CCBA hosts a wide variety of activities for people of all ages.
CCBA works with mainstream organizations to provide services to the Chinese-American community. CCBA also provides educational opportunities to members of the Chinese community.
CCBA also has a wide range of member organizations. These include trade, religious, and cultural organizations. CCBA also advocates for Chinese-American interests. CCBA also helps people find jobs and settle disputes within the Chinese community.
Arcadia Chinese Association
The Arcadia Chinese Association (ACA) is an organization of community services. The ACA is a venerable non-profit group that has been around for a nifty 30 years. As a 501c3 nonprofit, the organization provides charitable and educational events to the community.
For the octogenarians among us, the Arcadia community center has an annual senior citizen luncheon. One of the ACA’s more noteworthy philanthropic efforts is the annual Halloween candy drive. In addition to the usual suspects, the ACA also presents gift bags to 413 City of Arcadia employees for their service to the borough. This is the type of charitable endeavor that a large number of people will appreciate.
Aside from the annual Chinese New Year festival, ACA also sponsors other fun and exciting events. These include the annual Halloween Candy Drive, the annual Relay for Life, and a slew of philanthropic activities.
Peoria Chinese Association
The Peoria Chinese Association is a non-profit organization that has been around for many years and has a long list of accomplishments to its name. Its mission statement is to promote cultural diversity and enhance understanding among its members. To accomplish this goal it has a number of clubs that cater to different interests. Among its many philanthropic endeavors the organization has helped to donate over 10,000 masks to area hospitals.
As for the organization itself the Peoria Chinese Association is a member centric organization with over 1,200 members. There are numerous clubs and organizations to choose from, however the organization focuses on education and the promotion of Chinese culture. In addition to clubs, the organization also sponsors a number of activities for Chinese families in the Greater Peoria area.
Chinatown Chinese Association
The London Chinatown Chinese Association (LCCA) was founded in 1978 to address the needs of the local Chinese community. It provides a forum for local businesses, as well as serving as a liaison between the local government and Chinese community. In addition, the association organizes the annual Chinese New Year celebration and Mid-Autumn Festival.
The organization is also involved in charitable activities. For example, it has donated to the construction of schools in mainland China. Other charitable programs include a fund for disaster relief in China.
LCCA works closely with the City of Westminster to promote Chinese culture and business. LCCA also organizes conferences, trade shows and overseas visits.
The organization aims to provide education and recreational services for the residents of low-cost housing projects. In addition, it has contributed to the construction of hospitals in mainland China.
China Association for Science and Technology
The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) has played a significant role in promoting the popularization of science and technology in China. It is the country’s largest non-governmental organization of scientific and technological professionals. This association is a bridge between the Chinese government and the science community.
There are a variety of organizations that are affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology. These include the National Society for Science and Technology.
Aside from its many local branches, the China Association for Science and Technology also maintains close ties with millions of Chinese scientists and professionals. They are also involved in international scientific exchanges. One of the organization’s major projects is the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientists. Due to open soon, the museum will serve as an inspiration and source of knowledge for the Chinese science community.
